Package of 3 tests:
- Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD): A highly contagious viral disease that affects many parrot species and can cause severe feather, beak, and immune system abnormalities. Early molecular testing helps identify infected birds, including those that may appear healthy.
- Avian Polyomavirus (APV): A viral infection that primarily affects young birds and can lead to sudden illness or death in chicks and fledglings. Testing helps detect infected birds and identify potential virus carriers.
- Psittacosis (Chlamydia psittaci): A bacterial infection that affects a wide range of bird species and can also be transmitted to humans. Screening helps protect both avian and human health by identifying infected birds, even when no symptoms are present.
